Off-Grid Solar Installations in Mali

In summer 2024 I designed and led the installation of three off-grid solar systems in Bamako, Mali. The flagship system is 16.2 kW with 45 kWh of battery storage and an 8 kW inverter, and it reduced household dependence on diesel.
I prepared power budgets, equipment selection, and cost estimates in OpenSolar and PVSol, complied with Malian safety standards, coordinated local technicians, and added remote monitoring.
